William Louis Bagley

William (Bill) Louis Bagley 86 of Huntington Beach, California passed away on January 15^th, 2020 in Huntington Beach.

Bill was born in Nebraska to Louis and Zeta on August 7, 1933.  He was raised on a chicken farm until the depression forced his father and uncle to move to California for work.  He graduated from Oceanside High School and served in the United States Army. He attended LA City College and then UCLA where he received his bachelor’s degree in business.  He worked for the FBI four years; both before the Army, and after.  He finished his career after thirty two years working for the Los Angeles Times.

He met Muriel, the love of his life working at Graham’s Cafe in Oceanside; where he would stop every morning for breakfast.  They dated two years before getting married in 1962.  He is survived by his wife Muriel, his children:  Richard, Debi, Cindy, and Mark. He has seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. 

Bill loved to spend time with family, camping, fishing, and playing poker with his friends.  Being involved with his grandchildren was one of his favorite things to do!  He enjoyed the American Legion post 291 in Newport Beach, Elks Lodge, and the fishing club of Huntington Beach.

Services will be held at Heritage-Dilday Memorial in Huntington Beach, Ca. on January 30^th, 2020 at 11:00AM.
