Tribute to Roke A. Castro
Roke Anthony Castro was born on January 8th 1953 in the city of Pensacola Florida, to Jesus and Natividad Castro. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Castro, his son Rick (Lisa), daughters Christine Castro and Angeline Lopez (Juan); 1 granddaughter and 11 grandsons; his sister Doris Darcy and brothers Paul and Lawrence Castro.
Roke proudly served his country in the Army at the young age of 17 during the Vietnam war. Once out of the service, he met his wife Lorraine, and on April 24th, 1976, he married the love of his life. He was a loving father to his three children and was always working hard to provide for his family. His hobbies were barbecuing, going to the gym, working on various projects in his workshop, traveling with his wife, as well as various trips with his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted Christian and follower of Christ. He was a true example of a Godly Man. One of his favorite verses was Romans 10:9-10: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
His family and friends will truly miss him, but are comforted knowing that he is in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
