Robert "Roy" Shaw

Roy passed peacefully at home in Huntington Beach, CA a short time after being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Roy passed with his wife Mary, daughter Karen, & son Rob (Wayne) by his bedside. He waited for his granddaughter Ashley to leave before the angels brought him home. 

Roy was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland to Robert & Agnis Shaw on June 20, 1938. He met Mary in the Summer of 1959 & they married on November 10, 1962. Roy & Mary, along with their daughter Karen, immigrated to the United States on March 10, 1968. Their son, Wayne, was born in the states making him the only American in the family until Roy, Mary, & Karen became naturalized US citizens in 1978.

Roy had a long career with US Borax Chemical Corporation until he retired in 1998. He enjoyed his retirement by traveling, golfing, & most of all creating memories with his loving family.

Roy is survived by his beloved wife Mary, daughter Karen, son Rob, granddaughters Ashley & Kayleigh, in addition to his brother Derek, & family in Northern Ireland.

Roy will forever be in our hearts!
