Raymond John Williams, 86, passed away on November 11, 2018.

He grew up in the Steubenville, Ohio. He was one of five children born to Angeline and Peter Williams. He graduated from Catholic Central High School in Steubenville. After high school, he left home and enlisted in the Army. He was discharged in 1950, and in 1951, he married the love of his life, Betty Lee Lucas. They were happily married for 64 years. Betty preceded him in death in July, 2015.

He worked full time for Weirton Steel and retired after 32 years with the company. In 1984 he packed up his family and moved to Fountain Valley, California. He started R & M Contractors and with the help of his son, Michael, ran the company until his death.

Ray and Betty had 4 children. Debi Rae, Sandy, Ray Stephen and Michael John. He had 5 grandchildren; Robert Atkins, Megan Atkins Singleton, Christopher Williams, Blake Williams & Geramy Williams and 2 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Friday evening, November 16, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and a memorial service will be held at: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Heritage-Dilday Memorial Services, 17911 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach, CA 92647 and friends and family are welcome to a gathering at the family’s home with lunch being served at noon.
