Tribute

Jeanette Dunn Aragon, affectionately known as “Bebe,” 78, long time resident of Orange County, California suddenly passed away on January 15, 2021 at UCI Medical Center in Orange, California.

Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her children, her son Andre and daughter-in-law, Sirikit; her daughter Marnie and son-in-law, Robert; her three sisters, Judith, Irene, and Carmen; her brother, Bill; her grandchildren, Jarri, Bella, Kai and Soleil; her nieces and nephews, Joe, Kathy, Cecile, and Gigi; Jeff and Jennifer; Greg and Tracy; Stephanie and Leo; Mari, Monique and Michael; Natalie, Lilly, and Melanie; Kenny and Brian; and her many family and friends whose lives she forever touched. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Honesto; her parents, her brothers, Leo Jr. and Tony; and her sisters, Doris and Virginia.

Jeanette was born an American citizen in the city of Cagayan de Oro, in Mindanao, Philippines to Leo Dunn, Sr. and Juanita Willkom on February 24, 1942. She graduated from Lourdes College High School in 1959 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines in 1964. After graduation, she moved to the United States where she began her nursing career in the Greater Los Angeles area as a hospital nursing administrator and school nurse. During her career, she continued with her pursuit of higher education, earning a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration from the University of La Verne and numerous certificates from UCLA and CSUN. After 40 dedicated and compassionate years as a nurse and caring for others, she retired from the Los Angeles Unified School District.  

Her many hobbies and passions included writing poetry, playing the piano, traveling, sketching, gemology, culinary cuisine, and most of all, karaoke singing. She was devoted to her church and relished laughing with friends. Most of all, she loved spending time with her adoring family, especially her four grandchildren.
