Gregorio Gatbonton Linsangan

Gregorio Gatbonton Linsangan passed from this world on November 15, 2019 at 5:38 AM after his brief 88 years on earth and is now living his everlasting life in paradise with God the father.

He was born on May 9,1931 to Roman & Leogardia Linsangan in Gapan, Nueva Ecija Philippines.  He met his loving wife Cristina (Bernadas) in Philadelphia, PA and it was love at first sight.  He proposed to Cristina after knowing her for only 6 weeks.  They were married on June 6, 1959 and just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2019. He joined the US Navy in 1954 and was one of the 5,525 Filipino men that joined the US Navy between 1953 – 1958.  He retired from the US Navy after a lifetime of service (20 years) as an electrician in 1975. After his US Navy retirement, he worked as an electrician for the Compton and Long Beach school districts then retired a second time in 1996

Gregorio brought joy and laughter to all who had the blessing of knowing him.  He was a faithful, handsome, fun loving, kind, hardworking and generous man with an endless sense of humor.  He loved life’s simple things best.  His wife and family meant everything to him.  He is survived by his loving wife Cristina, his children Anna Marie & Michael Velez, Joseph & Liza and Gregory, his grandchildren Christopher Velez, Gelina Linsangan, Bryce Linsangan and his great-grand daughter Nova Marie Velez, his sister Maria Paz Brioso and many other relatives and friends.
