I want to offer my condolences to the Portillo family and friends. It is a painful thing to lose a precious love one in death, regardless of how long they have lived. Even Jesus wept when Lazarus died (John 11:35) and it pain Our Heavenly Father. He did not purpose his human family to get sick and die but purposed us to live and enjoy life in perfect health. It is still his purpose (Psalm 37:11,29). He calls death an enemy that will be removed forever__1 Corinthians 15:26 “the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing”; Sickness will be a thing of the past_ Isaiah 33:24 ”and no resident will say, “I am sick”; and He promise to awaken our love ones in the memorial tombs from asleep in death so they can be reunited with their love ones to enjoy true peace and happiness __ Isaiah 26:19 “Your dead will rise ...Awake and shout joyfully you residents in the dust! ...the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Allow these words to keep comforting all of you.

Although my heart is breaking, I want to offer my condolence to my mother, who loved my son, Michael, as much as any mother could love a son. He adored her as well and I know she is grieving. Love you, Mom. My is sending his love to you from heaven.

Dear Frances,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please know that Michael's memory inspires us at CIRM to work hard to find treatments and cures for the devastating condition which he bravely endured and battled during his time on this earth. He never gave up. You never gave up and neither will we.

Thank you, Maria. One chapter of my children's brief life with us is now over. All three are now giving me continued strength and courage to continue the fight to end Huntington's disease. We must end HD before the next generation suffers the same demise - and that includes my beautiful grandchildren who are now at risk to inherit the cruel disease. Thank you for you kind thoughts, and I hope to see you soon....perhaps at the HSG in Denver. Hugs, Frances

Frances and Family...........
The Morquecho's are feeling continuing sadness and hurt for all of you. Even though Michael's suffering is over, your losses remain. Frances, our prayer for you is that our Lord will continue to sustain you, comfort you, and give you peace that passes all understanding. Your strength and courage has always come from the Lord and may it continue. We love you and have no other words to say but we are all so sorry for the loss of Precious, Handsome, Witty Michael that we all once knew. Donations to the Foundation will be given. cousin, margo
