Felicisima Climacosa Dienzo

August 9, 1941 ~ January 5, 2018 (age 76) 76 Years Old

In Loving Memory

Felicisima “Feli” Dienzo died Friday evening, January 5, 2018, at Jana Marie Board and Care Home in Fountain Valley of complications from congestive heart failure. She was 76 years old. Born in Naic, Cavite, in the Philippines, to Elena Bustamante Climacosa and  Maximiano Climacosa she grew up in her home town. She attended college at Philippine School of Business Administration in Manila, Philippines and graduated in Banking and Finance.

After graduation she worked in the banking industry. Not too long afterwards she was introduced to Edmund “Ed” Dienzo through a mutual friend. Ed and Feli got married in May 28, 1967. They settled in Quezon City where their son Raymond and daughter Eileen were born. But in order to provide new opportunities for their family, they immigrated to the United States in 1975. Their third child, a daughter Michelle was born soon afterwards. Due to various career opportunities of her husband Ed, the family moved to different parts of the country: Cleveland, Houston, Barstow, Redlands, and San Diego. She worked in various industries relating to finance, as well as being a home maker. Later in her career she worked as an account executive in the health insurance industry.  Feli suffered a stroke in 2003 that left her permanently disabled. She retired from work shortly afterwards. Feli and Ed lived their retirement years at their home in Murrieta till Ed died in 2014; they were married for 48 years. Feli moved to Jana Marie Board and Care Home in 2015 in Fountain Valley where she was close to her daughter Michelle who lives in Costa Mesa.

Feli was always there for her family. Whether it was watching her son Ray at his karate sparring sessions, seeing her daughter Eileen’s tennis matches, or working as a time keeper and cheering for her daughter Michelle’s swim meets; she cherished these times and made a point to be there through their adulthood. She loved cooking and was famous for her Pancit which always got devoured in the numerous potluck parties. Feli loved to laugh and was always the life of the party. Even after suffering her stroke she did her best to be involved and even enjoyed participating in karaoke singing at family gatherings, playing the slots - she was unstoppable. She made friends quickly and loved sharing laughs with them. Ed and Feli loved to travel and took opportunities to go to different reunions. Her failing health prevented her from traveling during the last couple of years but still took opportunities to spend time with her kids especially during birthdays and holidays.

Feli loved her children, grandchildren. and extended family and friends throughout the world. Feli is survived by her son, Raymond “Roy” Dienzo and his wife Laura; daughter, Eileen Dienzo Avon and her husband Jack; daughter Michelle Dienzo Sperling and her husband Michael; former son-in-law Hung Pham; grandsons, Noah Pham, Matteo Sperling, and Marco Sperling. And siblings Dr. Amanda Zaide and her husband Rudy; her brother Reynaldo Climacosa and his wife Guen; her sister Vilma Malig and her husband Raymundo “Arthur”. And nieces and nephews; Analiza Zaide Gobaton (deceased),  Reynaldo “Jojo” Climacosa, Jamie Climacosa, Malou Malig Samson, Raymundo Malig, and Joseph Malig.  And cousins in law who were like brothers, Nelson Dienzo and his wife Minda; and Weldon “Don” Dienzo and his wife Lorett; and several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends worldwide.
